How is Aster soo cuteeeee 😍. For gods sake don't see this. This a slow burner. It'll burn your time and your brain. This is some (I was gonna type bad words. So better avoid this time waster piece of. Ellie: cute nerd Leah: badass jock. It's an amusing premise and not too surprising when the wrong characters fall for the wrong characters. The individual acting is very good but it's when the characters interact with each other that it doesn't work as well. I don't see any high school girl, especially a "popular" one, just agreeing to go out with someone they've never spoken with in person. If they did and it went the way this first date did there wouldn't be a second one. It's a nice thought but I don't think things really work that way.
Also, I didn't find it plausible that the two girls would just hang out all day when they had maybe had one conversation. Again, it just seems unrealistic. I did think the relationship between the two main characters was more believable. I kind of ended up wanting them to be together because they seemed to have a real connection.
Certainly, not a bad movie it just has holes in it.
